Because my AOne is broken since more then one year, no good new hardware is aviable for me (SAM is not good, X1000 to expensiv) my Amigatime is over now. And with this MCP also. Many thanks to all the poeple which help me last years.

Ok :-( Je suis vraiment deg pour lui, je ne sais pas pourquoi il n'arrive pas à remettre sa machine en marche, je l'ai eu pendant plusieurs semaines ici, et elle marchait parfaitement bien: En fait, elle marchait parfaitement bien sitot que je l'ai reçue, je n'ai fais que fixer l'USB/IDE/Ventirad.

Bref il m'envoit une machine qui marche pas, je la reçois elle marche, je lui renvois elle marche toujours pas...

J'ai pas eu ni son alim, ni sa ram, ni sa carte graphique. Faudrait peut-être voir de ce coté là.

Bon je l'ai contacté, je lui ai dis que si il voulait, il pouvait me renvoyer sa machine, cette fois ci avec sa carte graphique et sa RAM. Le problème vient sans doute de là vu que j'avais ma propre RAM losque j'ai réparé sa machine.

Sa machine marche, c'est une certitude, il y a un problème quelque part à trouver. Evidement si il accepte de me renvoyer sa bécanne je n'y demanderais pas un radis. Ce serait dommage de pas trouver ce qui ne marche pas sur son AOne pour juste 10 ou 15€ de ports.

Sa réponse d'aujourd'hui avec en premiere partie ses problemes d'Aone et en deuxieme partie ses problems de SAM.

Il y a pas mal de choses que vous ne savez pas, public ;-) comme le fait qu'il a eu 2 SAMs en pret pour un developpement commercial mais les SAM en prets de fonctionnent pas (voir partie 2) et je ne sais pas pourquoi.

La premiere est venue de Vesalia et il n'a pas eu de barettes avec (a peu pret sur dison).

J'aimerais bien que XRAY me detaille les barettes a mettre sur les SAMS (references et fabricants). Je sais qu'Acube les fournies et j'aimerais bien savoir comment verifier que la barette des 2 SAMS de Dieter sont correctes.




Not much News.
The State of the AOne ist the same, i have spent again around 4 hours, to
disconnect all plugs, cards, drives and so on. New Batterie again (i think,
is the fifth now sonce last year).
I can tell the same:
around 10 Percent i switch the aone on, it do nothing (no boot or anything).
next 10 percent, it boots, but find no drive or no drive to boot from, also
the same i have only the ide-CD-Rom or an scsi-Drive with the scsi-card on
it.
The last 80% it boots to differnet times, mostly it boots to load all
kickstartfiles, but then do nothing more, after workbench.library it stops.
I have tried this with very several CD,s and AOS4 versions, from the pre until
the last update, just the same, also with harddrive or cdrom, with both
ide-ports (and the scsi-card sometimes, of corse), different batteries, and
different uboot settings. No Change, no workbench.
My only idea where to set the cpu-clock lower, as i have before, because i
remeber everytime i try it higher (as cosmo said), it crash on any part.
But i have the jumpersettings on the harddrive which are not accessable now,
so i have give up.
I would to sell it, but i can not really say it is ok. So i must sell it as
broken, and this will give not enough. So i wait. The Aone is now in my
basement to feed the mouses....
My time with it is over, and no, i do not want to send it again to anybody.
Perhaps i get romanticsenses anytime and try it agan with other jumpersettings
or other case or other psu or other cdrom, or other memory or other Batterie
or other user in front of it....


The both SAMs are ready now, i have tried to make the last uboot-updates and
the new settings on one of it, and then the mouse and keyboard was loose 3
times more then before, so no working with it anymore possible. Sometimes all
10 seconds it frooze, and latest the third usb-reset hang all. Yes, i have
tried it with 3 differnet mouse/keyboards, all the same, only one the SAM
want not to boot anymore with one of them, i must plug in it later, then the
same as before.
Also if the mouse and keyboard not frooze, it crash.
I have only start it in workbench, and wait, 10 times tried, here the result

1. frooze after 8:40 minits
2. frooze after 3:10 minits
3. frooze directly before workbench ready loaded
4. foroze after around 55:00 minuts (i have showed all 5 minits)
5. frooze after 1:30 minits
6. froozen after 22:30 minits
7, frooze after 45:00 minits (43:00 until 45:00)
8. frooze after 32:00 minits (after 20 minits is was good, maybe earlier)
9. frooze by starting amidock
10. frooze after 20:30 minits

In this tests, the mouse was mostly freeze before, but i want not to restart
it, because this may give wrong results.

So 10 times, not any time it have rechead an hour to run, but i have also
times, where it runs 2 or 3 hours, only not by my testings. I want to find
out any about the freezes. And to begin it shows a little, if the SAM where
hot, it runs better, but later it shows not so, seems to be randomized.
It was hard to make this test, because the first 10 minits i was siiting on
the system, later i must look often (around all 5 minits) to get a good
runtime. Also the SAM is very slow, i told already, one boot to workbench
needs exact 2:29 minits, and this was very surprised for me, i have thnk, it
will differnt on every boot.
Because the long time i need for the tests, i have made this in my holiday,
from morning until afternoon (on test 8 i have eat some).
Now the both SAMs are ready to bougth by my chief.

So i have no good running system anymore

I have already wrote on MCP-Homepage, my Amigatime shows to be over now:-(
No good Hardware avialble yet, no good Hardware in avis:-(
And the OS4.1 is much more bad then OS4.0, here the way is really wrong for
me.

Donc si je résume:

-Dieter n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner pour la Xième fois son AOne qui pourtant ici marchait parfaitement, aussi bien avant qu'après mon intervention.

-Il n'arrive pas non plus à stabiliser deux Sam différentes. Il a des pertes de clavier/souris et quand bien même, ça fini par planter: Elles ne passent pas l'heure de fonctionnement, parfois quelques minutes.

Qu'une machine soit capricieuse je veux bien, ça arrive... que TROIS machines, dont deux neuves, refusent de fonctionner, je comprend beaucoup moins. Soit Dieter à de gros problèmes électriques, soit il dégage un magnétisme à toute épreuve...

Mais dans tous les cas, il est statistiquement impossible que ses 3 machines soient HS...



Diagnostic différentiel?

Je n'y comprends rien !

Que son AOne ait des problèmes même après ce que Crisot a fait, je peux à la rigueur le comprendre, mais que ses SAM en soient également arrivées à ce point, je refuse de l'admettre.

J'ai deux Sam-Flex 800 MGz dont l'une a beaucoup voyagé mais qui fonctionne correctement, et l'autre, que j'utilise du matin au soir chez moi, sans souci, exception faite d'une petite alerte au niveau d'un disque dur qui, un matin, n'a pas été reconnu bootable an démarrage.
Cet incident met en cause le disque dur mais en aucune manière la carte mère et la mémoire.

Ce monsieur ne semble pas doué pour caresser le hardware dans le sens du poil !

Il n'y a pas plus aveugle que celui qui ne veut pas voir....

l'alimentation, si elle n'est pas bonne, cela peut jouer des tours comme ces plantages alléatoires.

Pour les Sam, si ce soit des 440ep ou Flex733 ou Flex800 Mhz seules les mémoires livrées avec par ACube doivent être utilisées.

Bon Dieter ne semble pas très motivé pour remettre son AOne en état.

Il me dit que lorsqu'il aura un peu de temps pour démonter sa machine, à ce moment il avisera entre me l'envoyer ou la passer par la fenêtre, ou pour la revendre comme "à retaper" sur Ebay.

Je lui ai dis qu'il avait quand meme tout interet à me l'envoyer, et qu'une fois que sa machine marchera, on pourra lui trouver plus facilement acheteur... un Aone en état ça vaux déjà plus très cher, alors le vendre HS, ça ira pas chier loin...

dsl, je suis passé à côté de ta question à propos des RAMs SAM:-(

Mais en fait Elwood a répondu, effectivement hors de celles fournies par ACube, c'est la jungle (nos expériences)!
Il est donc inutile de fournir ces infos, puisque les mêmes références venant d'ailleurs ne seraient peut-être pas fonctionnelles et pourraient engendrer des problèmes.

En passant, 3 machines qui déconnent, moi non-plus j'y crois pas trop...m'enfin :-o

Espérons tout de même, qu'il solutionne pour pouvoir bosser!
