Voici comment bien faire fonctionner Quake II HD sur votre amiga NG :

1? Bien copier les fichiers requis au bon endroit (le tiroir videos du CD original doit être copié dans /baseq2 et les fichier pak0, pak1 et pak2 doivent aussi être copiés dans /baseq2
2? Ne pas modifier l'icone du programme (le laisser en mode Shell et non Workbenh pour son lancement)
3? Au premier lancement du jeu, dès l'apparition de la première cinématique, appuyer immédiatement sur ESC pour configurer toute vos ooptions (surtout la résolution choisie).

Quake II fonctionne bien ici après quelques manips du fichier conf pour le son . Par contre, impossible de modifier la résolution sinon, l'ordi plante et l'OS est figé.

Je vois que des problèmes différents surviennent sur différentes machines
Il faudrait sur ce thread référencer les changements aue vous avez fait et les testés sur toutes les configs et faire un compromis pour éviter que la nouvelle version ait ces problèmes merci de votre aide

It was a bit mess to make it working because a lot of paks availible on internet simply doesn't seems to work with your version, also in case you didn't have any pak installed the game will crash at startup ... hope you can fix this

At the end i found the good paks and all goes well, for now i'm playing at 640*480 and while it still slow on my system it's more or less playable, but sure if possible more speed will be welcome :-)

Là je rejoints KL, mon moteur a été developper pour faire tourner les .pak originaux de hyperion et rien d'autre, vous devrez acheter cette version.
Il n'est pas prévu pour l'instant de faire tourner d'autres addons à part les addons officiels mais il y a encore du travail.
Pour ce qui est du support des petites machines ce sera un gros NON catégorique il est hors de question d'optimiser pour des petites machines ce serait une perte de temps, je supporterai minimum le G4 pour l'altivec, à un moment il faut changer de matériel et s'adapter aux nouveautées les radeon HD sont le futur 
Désoler mais je ne peux pas vous mentir et ce serai un super mensonge de vous dire qu'avec des textures de 512x512 cela ne serait pas lent au bout d'un moment de jeu

A noter qu'il n'y a pas de fichiers pak et Videos sur le CD d'Hyperion, il n'y a qu'un installer (qui ne marche pas).
Ces fichiers sont sur le CD de la version PC.

Yep you right, i know that this version was done with the high end machines in mind (so logically not for the Sam440), but indeed it's always interesting for testing purpose, and i was curious ;-)

Oui tu as raison pour le bundle hyperion mais ce que je voulais dire c'est qu'il y a 3 versions et celle fournie en version pc avec leurs installeur était la derniere en date avec les patchs donc largement recommandée voilà pourquoi je tenais que ce soit celle-ci
